About Our Classes & Space

At Thrifty Connections, we believe:
- Creativity is a form of connection—to ourselves, others, and the world around us.
- Crafting should be calming, accessible, and centered on the experience, not the outcome.
Classes are open to ages 16 and up and are geared toward:
- Relaxation over perfection.
- Emphasizing the process of making rather than achieving a flawless final product.
Some classes are labeled as Contemplative:
- Contemplative classes are intentionally crafted with the ambiance in mind. Some classes may either begin or end with a guided meditation or a short guided breath work exercise. This will be an opportunity to quiet the mind and body and to allow the creative process to reconnect you with yourself.
- Connecting in quietness!
We prioritize upcycled and repurposed projects because:
- They make the most of what already exists.
- While working with found and donated materials isn’t always the easiest route, it’s the one we believe in. It invites creativity, honors resourcefulness, and keeps things beautifully imperfect—just like life.
Note: Due to working with donated and reclaimed materials:
- Class projects may vary slightly from examples shown in our monthly calendar.
- We embrace these variations as part of the magic and uniqueness of every session.
We see crafting as:
- A form of meditation.
- A way to slow down, reconnect, and breathe more deeply.
Our studio space reflects our values:
- Much of the furniture and decor has been salvaged, repaired, or reimagined. The atmosphere is cozy, creative, and full of character. Tools and materials carry stories of their own—ready to be continued by you.
Whether you’re looking for:
- Quiet time,
- Gentle inspiration,
- Or connection with others—
- Our classes offer space to rest your mind, move your hands, and make something meaningful.
