Whether you’ve never touched a brush or just want to refine your skills, you’ll be guided step-by-step through creating your own serene winter scenes.
What You’ll Learn: Essential watercolor techniques, from color mixing to brush control.
What to Bring: Your favorite paints and brushes (or borrow ours if you’re just starting out!).
The Paper: To ensure the best results, we’ll provide professional-grade, 140lb 100% cotton paper for a small $5 material fee.
Mary Frances Millet is a third generation Schenectadian. Her watercolor work has been exhibited extensively in the Capital District of NY. Her most current solo show was in Nov 2025 at the Ballston Library in Burnt Hills, NY. She is also showing at Five Ravens Gallery in Schuylerville, NY, Armory Studios, Schenectady, NY, Albany Center Gallery, Albany, NY and Widlund Gallery at Tannery Pond Center, North Creek, NY. Her next show is at Zion Episcopal Church in Schenectady.
Mary Frances holds a BS in Sociology from UAlbany and Ashford University. She also graduated from Maria College’s program in occupational therapy.
When she’s not in her studio, she teaches watercolor at Mohawk Valley Art Shoppe in Schenectady. In the summer of 2025 she taught classes at the Arts Center of Yates County in the Finger Lakes, NY.
